Prague, Czech Republic
For our first assignment for the class, we were expected to research 10 points about a city, this is what I came up with for a potential wedding client. I chose this particular destination because I'll be visiting here in August.
- Located in the heart of Central Europe, venues could be:
- Town Hall
- Cathedrals in ancient Prague
- Historical castle
- Palace Garden
- Home to a number of famous cultural attractions:
- Prague Castle
- The Charles Bridge
- Old Town Square
- The Jewish Quarter
- The Lennon Wall
- Their main language is Czech, but most people catering to the tourist industry speak English
- The weather is nicest in Spring or Fall, more specifically:
- April
- May
- September
- Incorporate local traditions into your ceremony and reception:
- Friends of the bride weave a rosemary wreath for her the night before the wedding
- A plate could be broken in front of the bride and groom for them to sweep together, symbolizing their new partnership and working relationship in life
- The couple might jointly eat a bowl of soup, with on spoon, while covered with a large towel to symbolize trust
- In place of rice or bird seed, Czech tradition would be guests throwing peas at the departing couple in order to ensure a fertile union
- Czechs takes their spas seriously, they have two main spa towns.
- They have hundreds of architectural landmarks and beautiful scenery to capture into photos for great memories
- There’s many different means to arriving at your wedding:
- Limo
- Horse-drawn carriage
- Vintage car
- Czechs regard their locally produced beers as a national treasure, they have many popular beers
- Marriage in Czech Republic is fully recognized, valid marriage certificates with all required stamps and official translation into your language will be provided
